Job Description:
Addison Group is hiring a People Operations Partner on behalf of our client. This role will begin with a strong emphasis on HR operations—especially UKG, payroll coordination, benefits, and employee relations. Over the next six months, the position will gradually transition into a true HR Business Partner role supporting a business unit. Ideal candidates are comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and providing high‑touch support in a small but growing HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers
Manage daily operational tasks within UKG (data entry, workflows, process oversight)
Coordinate payroll processes (largely automated) and timekeeping
Administer benefits and support vendor communication
Assist with employee relations, performance conversations, and policy interpretation
Support the Head of HR in executing strategic initiatives
Track HR metrics and assist with reporting and general HR analytics
Contribute to ongoing implementations and transitions (UKG rollout, 401k vendor change)
Provide proactive, customer‑focused HR support across the business
Qualifications:
5+ years of HR experience within small to mid‑size organizations
Hands‑on experience working in UKG
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑, evolving environment
High comfort level operating independently and in “grey areas”
Strong customer‑service orientation and relationship‑building skills
Nice to Have:
Experience in the insurance industry
Start‑up or scale‑up HR background
Schedule: Full‑time, standard business hours
Work Environment: Hybrid (Tues/Wed/Thurs onsite)
Parking: Free onsite parking
Compliance: Background check and drug screen required
Department Size: Small HR team; this role owns most operations
Interview Process: Single interview with quick turnaround
Significant growth into a full HRBP role within six months
Direct mentorship from the Head of HR
