Senior Power Electronics & Motor Control Engineer
to join its
Advanced Development Team . This organization specializes in next‑generation AC drive systems, electric rotating machinery, and cutting‑edge industrial automation solutions, including condition‑based monitoring, custom control systems, and power conversion technologies.
What You Will Do As a key member of the engineering team, you will provide
technical leadership
in the design, development, and testing of AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machines. You'll be involved in both hands‑on engineering and strategic project direction for high‑performance industrial systems.
Core Responsibilities
Engineer and develop
AC drive systems , power converters, and electric machines for industrial applications
Lead development of
speed and torque‑controlled motor drive systems
Design and tune regulators: current, speed, torque, EMF, and field weakening
Apply expert knowledge of
motor architectures , control algorithms, and dynamic modelling
Design and simulate
power electronics
and converter systems (e.g., buck‑boost, DC/DC)
Create detailed system models and simulations using
Matlab and Simulink
Provide technical mentorship to other engineers and cross‑functional teams
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to define and meet product requirements
Lead project development phases and provide oversight on complex, multi‑disciplinary projects
Promote and embody the organization’s
core values , including technical excellence, integrity, and continuous growth
Additional Duties
Mentor individuals and teams in engineering methods and problem‑solving
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Promote a strong professional image and maintain positive internal and external relationships
Ensure safety standards are followed and maintain a clean, organised work environment
Provide excellent service and support to internal and external stakeholders
Travel as needed, including potential international opportunities
What You Need Education
Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering preferred), or equivalent experience
Experience
15+ years in
power electronics design ,
motor control ,
low‑level firmware development , or
motor electrical design
Skills and Attributes
Deep expertise in power systems and motor control
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical simulation tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead project initiatives
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
