Senior Property Underwriter, Large Accounts, Hybrid
Location: Chicago, IL – Hybrid work environment.
We are a medium sized growing insurance firm looking for an experienced underwriter for our Chicago office.
Responsibilities
Represent the company in all large property underwriting projects.
Maintain extensive liaison with sales/marketing and brokers nationally.
Partner with other underwriting teams.
Travel regularly to client sites.
Coordinate new and existing business and provide strategic vision for the department.
Qualifications
At least 7+ years of underwriting experience with exposure to property and large accounts.
Strong analysis skills and proven experience on strategic initiatives.
Solid understanding of finance, financial analysis and insurance markets.
Demonstrated ability to develop best‑practice underwriting practices.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Relevant insurance licenses as required by individual states.
Ability to travel regularly away from home.
Base pay range: $140,000 – $200,000 per year. Compensation will be based on skills and experience.
