Description The Healthcare Industry Group, a subsidiary of A&M, delivers transformational change to the healthcare industry. We provide expertise in interim management, restructuring, revenue cycle management, mergers and acquisitions, compliance and regulatory, digital technology and analytics.

You will work with clients in a variety of sectors including health systems, providers, physician groups, ancillary providers, medical schools, vision, laboratory, dental and behavioural health; managed care and health plans; government plans and programs; healthcare investors and lenders; medical devices; healthcare suppliers and infrastructure; and life sciences.

The Team

Technology Assessment: Review and analysis of platform, data and system architectures, related applications/products, integrations, infrastructure, processes, data governance, security, and IT teams for value opportunities.

Performance Improvement/Operational Turnaround: Identify key performance impediments quickly using our rapid results diagnostic.

Cost Optimization: Holistic, cross‑functional approach to identify high‑impact opportunities for EBITDA and cash‑flow improvements across the cost structure.

M&A Services: Support throughout the M&A lifecycle, including operational/synergy due diligence, integration planning and execution, and divestiture planning.

Finance Operations: Improve management reporting and the month‑end close process.

Interim Management: Step into interim roles (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO) while a full‑time replacement is recruited.

How You Will Contribute

Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs by redesigning org structures and eliminating non‑value‑added tasks.

Review go‑to‑market strategies, including portfolio assessments, pricing, sales compensation, sales force effectiveness and competition.

Build and manage financial models and conduct financial and operating analyses, including synergy analyses and pro‑forma statements.

Provide PMO assistance and governance support through a cost‑takeout, transaction or integration process.

Utilize and create project management tools and templates (e.g., Smartsheet) to track activities and progress.

Leverage tools such as Lucid, PowerBI and generative AI to provide efficient solutions.

Guide clients through crisis management and performance improvement plans.

Develop operational data analysis and KPI metrics to drive meaningful change.

Summarize, draw conclusions and create recommendations from large data sets.

Lead project work streams and manage day‑to‑day engagement priorities.

Prepare client‑ready deliverables, presentations and deliver them to clients.

Coach and mentor junior staff.

Build client relationships and seek new business opportunities.

Support marketing initiatives, pitch preparation, and creation of marketing materials.

Help build product and service offering tools and templates.

Qualifications We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset who thrives in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.

General Skills:

High energy and passion for healthcare and complex problem‑solving.

Minimum of twelve (12) years in healthcare, focusing on commercial, engineering, operations, or finance. Consulting and industry experience preferred. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Experience with Visio, Tableau or Power BI, SQL, SPSS, and benchmarking is a plus.

Ability to run engagements with little oversight while maintaining strong project management and organizational skills.

Solid understanding of the M&A process, including operational and commercial due diligence.

Knowledge of MedTech supply chain, manufacturing COGS, CROs, CMOs, and CDMOs.

Prior experience with private‑equity firms.

Experience managing client engagements and mentoring junior staff.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness and ability to travel as required.

BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, MHA, MPH, or related fields.

Commercial Skills:

Familiarity with pricing structures, local agreements, group purchasing, and integrated delivery networks.

Understanding of commercial channels and call points such as ASC, hospitals, home health, direct vs. distribution.

Knowledge of sales compensation structures.

High level understanding of Medicare and managed care landscape.

Knowledge of product profitability analyses.

Operational Skills:

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including direct and contract manufacturing, distribution, logistics, S&OP, warehousing/3PL models.

Understanding of manufacturing standards and costing methodologies.

Knowledge of inventory management strategies.

Knowledge of vendor consolidation analyses and insource vs. outsourcing models.

Benefits Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are entitled to participate in A&M Holdings’ fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary contributions, provided eligibility requirements are met.

The annual base salary range is $160,000 – $180,000, commensurate with experience. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
