Senior Director – New Business Development, Life Sciences

California (Remote-friendly, Bay Area focus preferred)

Role Summary:
We’re seeking a high-impact business development leader with deep experience in life sciences (MedTech and Pharma) to drive growth across West Coast accounts. The ideal candidate has both a strategic and consultative mindset, excels at hunting / landing new logos and scaling them, and has a solid track record selling large deals across IT Services spectrum including Infra, ERP, Digital, Data/AI etc. The candidate must have a strong network into the C-suite of Life Sciences customers, experience of working with ISV / OEM partners and good industry subject-matter knowledge. This leadership role offers flexibility on title for exceptional candidates with proven success and strong executive presence.
Key Responsibilities
Target and win key West Coast clients
Carry personal quota for hunting new business opportunities and opening new doors.
Leading a team of Hunters with their individual quotas
Client Expansion & Relationship Management
Scale new pharma/ biotech/ MedTech accounts
Cultivate C-level relationships and drive upsell/cross-sell initiatives.
Lead and inspire a team of hunters, instilling a strong sales discipline and coaching toward success.
Ensure high-performing pipeline management and execution on team quotas.
Solution Selling
Drive AMS deal closures focused on Cloud, Data modernization, and GenAI.
Collaborate with internal delivery and solutions teams to shape offerings for client challenges.
Develop account strategies specific to California’s life sciences ecosystem, with a strong Bay Area orientation.
Translate client trends into actionable sales plans and growth initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Background in Life Sciences (Medical or Pharma required).
Demonstrated success in managing account growth and landing new logos.
Experience selling large deals across Transformation and Managed Services
Leadership experience overseeing a sales hunting team.
Strong consultative skills and ability to engage cross-functionally with delivery and solution teams.
Based anywhere in California, with a preference for those who can focus on Bay Area accounts.
