Awake Overnight Recovery Support Specialist Location: Victory House, Boston’s South End. The program provides residential treatment for 24 men with substance use disorder and co‑occurring conditions such as mental health and chronic health issues. The program lasts three to nine months.

Job Type:

Full-time (40 hours) Sunday – Thursday 11pm–7am. On site.

Rate:

$22.28/hr

Essential Functions

Adhere to Victory Programs, Inc.’s Standards of Excellence & Philosophy of Care, maintaining professional ethics, boundaries, and client confidentiality.

Provide quality, empathetic customer service to program clients.

Ensure medication policies and procedures are followed when clients take medication; monitor and document self‑administration.

Document medication administration: count controlled medication, record incoming and removal, sign off as clients take medication.

Maintain and assess the therapeutic milieu, empower clients to follow program guidelines, conduct rounds, answer phones and greet visitors at the front door, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Follow all policies and procedures for a safe residential environment, ensuring the facility is clean, functional, and fire escape routes are clear; report facility concerns.

Enter client and program data into Electronic Health Records.

Facilitate and/or co‑facilitate client groups and complete required documentation.

Provide referrals as needed.

Remain awake for the entirety of each shift.

Non‑Essential Functions

Participate in program events, State House rallies, fundraising, advocacy events, walks, and other agency functions.

Perform any other duties requested by supervisor or designee.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a professional team.

Ability to engage clients in an instructive, directive, and compassionate manner.

Skill working with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, country of origin, disability, and economic status.

Must be CPR certified (obtainable upon hire).

Completed TB screening (obtainable upon hire).

Three professional work references, at least two of which are from a manager or supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in addiction or mental health fields.

Knowledge of the addiction recovery process or willingness to acquire such knowledge within six months of employment.

Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.
