MedStar Health is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital! We are offering a limited‑time only $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
Schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 10:30 am – 11:00 pm
As an MRI Technologist you will perform a full range of MR (Magnetic Resonance) exams in accordance with established protocols. You will adhere to the strict guidance of MR Safety policies and procedures and perform these functions in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
Primary Duties
Perform a full range of MR imaging procedures promptly on all patient types as specified by the protocol, including venipuncture, injection of contrast media, and non‑narcotic medication.
Strictly adhere to research guidelines for studies performed on patients participating in research studies, ensuring correct exam type, laterality, and patient identification.
Provide basic information to patients and families about procedures and answer questions; maintain MR equipment and report needed repairs.
Monitor equipment, analyze potential malfunctions, contact Biomedical Engineering, and log tickets; ensure timely completion of exams through workflow management with RIS, ERS, and EMR systems.
Coordinate and collaborate with Technical Aides and Patient Financial Associates to ensure efficient room turnover and minimize delays and safety issues for the outpatient population.
Qualifications
Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology and competency in ARRT‑specified clinical procedures.
ARMRIT or ARRT certification with advanced MR certification.
BLS (Basic Life Support).
1–2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Hiring Range:
USD $35.68 – $64.71 per hour
