Summary Under the direction of the Department Chief, Nurse Leader or designee, the Registered Nurse provides practice support to a clinical team, delivering age‑appropriate nursing care to patients across the lifespan. The role involves managing patient care within pulmonary specialty, utilizing nursing process, coordinating with all care entities to promote safe, high‑quality care, and making evidence‑based decisions.
Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the pulmonary specialty, manage patient care plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, coordinate care transitions, document nursing assessments and interventions, and ensure adherence to current standards of nursing practice.
Education / Licensure
Graduate of a state‑approved nursing school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Current license to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Experience
Minimum 2 years RN experience preferred.
Experience with an electronic medical records system required.
Skills
Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
Self‑directed, able to prioritize, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to interpret clinical information, develop and implement care plans.
Excellent documentation, cost‑effective care utilization, and patient satisfaction.
Team collaboration and basic computer proficiency.
Compensation & Benefits The hourly rate is $38.66 – $71.87, based on full‑time employment. Atrius Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentives, and recognition programs.
