Role Overview The National Account Manager plays a critical role within the Retail Sales organization, responsible for managing and expanding key regional retail accounts and driving growth across the assigned territory. This role focuses on developing territory-specific business plans, strengthening customer relationships, leading negotiations, and delivering sales results within Solaris Paper-branded and private-label programs. The National Account Manager works closely with cross‑functional partners and regional retailers to expand distribution, enhance category performance, and support profitable outcomes across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies for Solaris and FIORA retail lines, aligned with overall company retail strategy.

Own sales plans and forecasts for assigned regional accounts; meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets.

Manage and grow strategic relationships with major regional retailers, distributors, and channel partners involved in private‑label and branded programs.

Identify and cultivate key customer contacts, including buyers, category managers, supply chain, finance, and regional leadership teams.

Lead customer meetings and business reviews, presenting category insights, program performance, pricing proposals, and new product or platform opportunities.

Negotiate pricing, promotional programs, and contract terms in alignment with internal finance, marketing, and leadership guidance.

Expand awareness and distribution of Solaris Paper, FIORA branded, and private‑label products through regional joint business planning, trade events, and customer initiatives.

Partner with marketing and product teams on promotional calendars, packaging updates, new product development, merchandising, and marketing initiatives.

Leverage social platforms (LinkedIn, etc.) to help tell the Solaris story and elevate the brand with key retail stakeholders in the region.

Monitor competitive landscape, pricing architecture, market trends, and customer/category performance to inform regional strategic recommendations.

Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations on forecasting, credit terms, A/R, operational execution, and program compliance.

Maintain accurate regional reporting, including budgets, forecasts, expense reports, sales pipelines, pricing documentation, and account program tracking.

Participate in regional and national trade shows to expand brand presence and deepen customer and industry relationships.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.

5–7+ years of Retail or Private Label Sales experience managing regional or multi‑state accounts (FMCG preferred).

Proven track record as a hunter‑builder capable of expanding existing business and securing new opportunities.

Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships across multiple levels of retailer organizations.

Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration experience (Marketing, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain).

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex customer programs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location Home‑based remote, preferably North, Central USA – Chicago, Wisconsin, Idaho, Minneapolis, and Michigan.
