Job Summary
The
Financial Systems Oracle Cloud Lead
serves as a critical functional and technical leader within the financial systems organization. This role combines deep Oracle Cloud expertise, broad financial process understanding, and strong technical acumen. The ideal candidate brings significant cross‑functional experience in system analysis, problem resolution, implementation, support, and project leadership across financial systems. Reporting to the VP of Financial Systems, this position will both support the current applications environment and play a pivotal role in major transformation initiatives underway.
Key Responsibilities System Administration & Support
Manage ongoing system administration activities, including:
User access management
Functional and technical system configuration
Integration configuration and monitoring
Logging, triage, and resolution of system issues
Monitor integration logs and resolve failures to maintain seamless financial operations.
Ensure all administrative tasks adhere to SOX controls and company policies.
Functional & Technical Analysis
Identify issues, analyze root causes, and document solutions.
Gather and validate business requirements across Finance, Accounting, and IT.
Create functional and technical specifications for enhancements, integrations, and system improvements.
Design test plans, execute QA cycles, and oversee production rollouts.
Change Management & Implementation
Collaborate tightly with business users, cross‑application teams, and IT partners to align on priorities, dependencies, and project timelines.
Maintain and prioritize change request logs and drive key initiatives to closure.
Review and coordinate testing for:
Monthly and quarterly Oracle Cloud releases
Quarterly Intacct releases (until full migration to Oracle Cloud is complete)
Data Conversion & Validation
Execute and oversee data mapping, ETL processes, and data validation activities for migrations or new implementations.
Ensure clean, accurate, and validated data across systems.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop, modify, and maintain financial and operational reports using system‑delivered reporting tools.
Define business reporting requirements and design new reports as needed.
Support data analysis and insights for Finance, Accounting, and Operational teams.
Controls & Compliance
Design and test IT/system controls for financial applications.
Support business control requirements and prepare documentation for audits.
Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and corporate governance policies.
Leadership & General Responsibilities
Partner with team members and business stakeholders to resolve complex system issues.
Lead and/or contribute to cross‑functional projects and system transformation initiatives.
Work with external vendors and service partners to support delivery.
Maintain clear communication and provide routine status updates to management.
Share knowledge openly and enhance team capabilities through mentorship and documentation.
Recommend process improvements to enhance reliability, accuracy, and efficiency.
Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of functional and technical business analysis experience in financial systems (ERP strongly preferred).
3–5 years of hands‑on experience implementing financial systems as a functional/technical systems analyst.
3–5 years of data conversion experience including mapping, ETL, and validation.
5–7 years in customer‑facing support and/or solution implementation roles.
5+ years supporting or implementing SaaS applications.
Strong experience with integration methodologies for both on‑prem and SaaS platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related discipline—or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of SQL and database architecture.
Understanding of systems architecture, data modeling, and IT best practices.
Strong working knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to define problems and execute solutions.
Demonstrated capacity for self‑learning and continuous skill development.
Ability to manage work independently while also contributing effectively to team initiatives.
High sense of ownership, accountability, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting or implementing Tier‑1 ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud Fusion, Oracle E‑Business Suite, SAP, or PeopleSoft.
Certifications or training in cloud technologies or modern development platforms.
Experience with Microsoft O365 tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodology or formal project management practices
