Overview The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), the campaign committee dedicated to protecting and expanding the Democratic Senate majority, is hiring a Deputy Candidate Services Director for the 2026 election cycle. The Deputy Candidate Services Director will serve on the Campaign Services Team, working under the Candidate Services Director and in close partnership with the Senior Campaign Advisors and Head of Campaigns. This is a critical role within the department that requires the routine exercise of discretion and independent judgment on significant issues and requires prior campaign experience including statewide campaign deputy finance director or finance director‑level experience. This position is based in Washington, DC. It is expected to regularly come into the DSCC office and will require extensive travel. Job Responsibilities
Serve as finance liaison with Senate campaign finance operations, and support the work of the DSCC’s Candidate Services Director, who is the lead finance liaison to U.S. Senate candidates and their campaigns. This can include:
Responsible for owning a portfolio of states and Senate races, providing the state appropriate advisement under the direction of the Candidate Services Director
Under the direction of the Candidate Services Director, build relationships with campaign finance directors and stakeholders
Working with the Candidate Services Director to monitor and distill fundraising information about the U.S. Senate races into pertinent recommendations and updates.
Build organizational and administrative processes to maintain campaign data
Facilitate the flow of information from campaign finance teams to the Candidate Services Director and members of the Campaign Services Department
Handle additional special projections and responsibilities
Work Experience
At least one cycle of experience as the Deputy Finance Director or Finance Director for a competitive statewide campaign
At least 3 cycles of on-the-ground campaign experience at any level, including at least one cycle of Senate campaign work
At least one cycle of experience managing a multi-level team, containing both full-time staff and consultants
Has successfully built a $30m+ finance plan and executed both weekly and daily cashflow, and has firsthand experience communicating projections to stakeholders
Experience with principal/candidate management, including giving direct feedback about the fundraising program to a candidate
Deep understanding of the finance mechanics of campaigns: staffing, in state events programs, national fundraising events, call time programs, donor research and prospecting, direct mail fundraising, cashflow management, compliance, and familiarity working with digital directors/teams.

Strong political judgment and knowledge of campaigns.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively at the direction of senior team members, as well as the ability to work independently and exercise their own discretion — and the demonstrated ability to judge when either is necessary and appropriate.
Ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and be flexible.
Ability to work with many different types of people, both within and outside of the DSCC.
Willingness to work long, irregular hours as necessary.
Willingness to travel as necessary.
Salary & Benefits The annual salary for this position is $120,000.
