National Research Manager The DSCC is hiring a national research manager for the 2026 election cycle. The national research manager will be a key part of adding experience and capacity to the DSCC’s senior research team. The research manager will oversee, contribute to, or help produce a large segment of the DSCC Research Department’s mapwide-focused work product, and is integral to departmental efforts to hold Republican Senate incumbents and challengers accountable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Helping supervise pod of DSCC research staff and assisting with the administrative work involved with running a research department including working to scope out, manage and edit research plans and products independently with a high level of accuracy and speed.
Assisting in training junior and incoming research staff on research skills, document production and DSCC processes.
Production of DSCC research materials, such as long-term background documents and rapid response components. Research managers must be able to independently and proactively identify and develop research strategies and priorities in their battleground states of responsibility.
Assisting with the production, filing and management of public records requests.
Coordinating with DSCC Communications, Digital, and Fundraising teams to develop and vet impactful, public-facing materials in furtherance of the committee’s mission and objectives.
Ideal qualifications for Research Manager include but are not limited to:
At least two cycles of Campaign or political committee research department experience.
The ability to work independently and exercise discretion in making significant decisions on DSCC’s behalf.
The salary for this position is $88,500 annually.
