Party Chief (Layout Engineering)
Position Overview
The Party Chief (Layout Engineering) is responsible for leading surveying teams in the field to ensure accurate layout and measurement for various construction projects. This role involves overseeing survey operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and utilizing advanced surveying technologies to deliver precise data.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise surveying crews in the field for layout and engineering projects.
Conduct boundary surveys, staking, and topographic surveys to determine land features and boundaries.
Utilize GPS technology and other surveying instruments to gather accurate data.
Prepare and maintain survey records, reports, and documentation.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure alignment of survey work with project specifications.
Train and mentor junior survey staff in surveying techniques and best practices.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during survey operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Party Chief or in a similar supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of boundary surveys, staking, and topographic surveys.
Proficiency in the use of GPS technology and surveying instruments.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and manage physically demanding tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in surveying or related field is preferred.
