Position Summary
The HR Manager, Total Rewards manages the coordination of all Team Member engagement initiatives, plans and executes all Team Member events and activities, manages recognition programs, and coordinates all ancillary activities. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all benefit and leave processes while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements. This role proactively administers all aspects of the company benefits plan, manages the administration of all leaves of absence, and audits all benefit and leave programs to ensure continual compliance. In addition, responsibilities include working with the HRIS Manager to liaise between carriers, system administrators, and the benefits team to execute benefit programs and resolve any benefit‑related coverage challenges. The HR Manager must also provide consistent service to all internal and external guests, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, effectiveness, and guest service.

Benefits
Provide oversight and support that includes all training, process evaluation/audit, and oversight of daily activities.
In cooperation with HRIS Manager, administer all Team Member benefit programs – group medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, long term disability, 401(k), COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts, and voluntary benefits.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of all enrollments into benefit programs by newly eligible Team Members and processing all eligible life events.
Conduct a monthly audit of the 401(k) program to ensure blocked enrollments are caught and corrected, and data flow from HRIS is accurate.
Conduct a monthly audit of hardship withdrawals. Communicate program requirements and send reminders of the rules for hardships to Team Members with frequent withdrawals.
Provide benefit counseling. Resolve individual Team Member benefit/claim issues through liaison activities with carriers, benefits consultants and/or legal counsel, and educate Team Members.
Work directly with carriers and system administrators on such issues as eligibility, reconciliation, benefit/claim problems, appeals, publications, etc.
Process court orders for benefit coverage.
Process death and beneficiary claims with Unum for Life and AD&D benefits.
Process death and beneficiary claims with ADP for 401(k).
Manage the Leave Administrators to ensure leaves are processed in accordance with applicable federal and state policies and procedures.
Ensure Leave Administration is consistent, and proper documentation and communication is timely and accurate.
Counsel and coordinate with management team, and payroll on all leave processes.
Coordinate with the Communications Manager on the communication plan and processes associated with annual enrollment.
Plan, organize and coordinate with HRIS Manager and ADP to execute open enrollment annually.
Continuously evolve benefit and leave processes to become more streamlined and innovative.
Engagement – Team Member Events
Create and manage the annual calendar of Team Member events, collaborating with Sales & Catering for onsite events.
Manage and execute, in coordination with Sales & Catering, Banquets and Special Events, all Team Member events, including, but not limited to, monthly or quarterly events, onsite and offsite; seasonal events, onsite and offsite, and Annual Wellness Fairs.
Identify and coordinate community outreach collaborations which will provide opportunities that engage, inspire, and encourage Team Members to actively participate in the community.
Collaborate, as appropriate, with the PR department's community events and initiatives.
Engagement – Team Member Recognition
Manage and audit all ongoing, monthly, and quarterly Team Member recognition programs: Graton Achievers; Leadership Excellence; Living Our Values; 5 and 10‑Year Anniversaries.
Annually evaluate and adjust, as needed, all recognition programs.
Engagement – Contests, Clubs and Raffles
Manage all contests, clubs, raffles, and reward giveaway programs that engage our Team Members on topics related to culture building, training/education, and wellness.
