The VP Corporate Controller role will oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and compliance while driving financial excellence and supporting the company’s continued growth and transformation. Due to it being a pivotal moment of growth and innovation, the VP Corporate Controller will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial infrastructure, driving operational excellence, and partnering closely with executive leadership to achieve long-term success
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, hands-on leader with deep technical accounting expertise and a passion for developing high-performing teams in fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax filings, and financial reporting.
Lead and mentor a distributed accounting team of three (Accounting Manager and two Staff Accountants) across multiple time zones.
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting.
Develop and enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls to support a scalable, efficient finance organization.
Partner with the CFO and leadership team on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Manage external audit processes and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration.
Oversee multi-state payroll operations and ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements.
Provide oversight and process improvements related to offshore billing operations.
Treasury – cash management, working capital optimization, Bank relationship management, cash forecast, Debt and capital structure management.
COMPENSATION: $180-200k + 15-20% bonus Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; active CPA required.
7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience within a multi-state, mid-sized or larger organization.
Proven success leading in high-growth, high-change environments.
Strong background in transactional accounting and process improvement.
Experience managing payroll and tax filing operations.
M&A and audit experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with offshore billing processes a plus.
Familiarity with Demand Bridge and NetSuites a plus.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively across time zones.
