Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Director to lead growth in the Midwest/Northeastern Territory. The Sales Director will be responsible for visiting customers throughout the region, developing strong business relationships, and working with owners and engineers to promote the advantages of HDPE pipe solutions. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a key territory and drive significant sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
Visit customers and prospects across the Midwest (up to 60% travel) to build and strengthen relationships.
Promote Pipeline Plastics’ value proposition to owners, engineers, and contractors, both in general and for project-specific proposals.
Partner with the Customer Service Director and inside sales team to understand project scopes, bids, and RFP requirements.
Develop new accounts while growing business with existing customers.
Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and the VP of Sales to prioritize customer and prospect visits.
Provide customers with updates on production schedules and product availability.
Represent Pipeline Plastics at industry trade shows, associations, and professional events to enhance visibility and reputation.
Accurately record all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
4–6 years of distribution sales experience and/or construction project management.
Strong knowledge of HDPE pipe, fittings, fabricated structures, and fusion equipment.
Technical expertise in municipal, industrial, or construction projects involving HDPE.
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
Proven ability to develop accounts, manage projects, and build long-term client relationships.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Ability to travel 60% of your time.
