Senior Accountant – Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization based in Washington, DC, to hire a highly motivated Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting the organization’s financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and provide variance explanations to management
Support the preparation of quarterly and annual audit schedules and liaise with external auditors
Assist in the development and monitoring of internal controls and accounting procedures
Manage fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions
Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insight based on actual results and trends
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reporting
