Portfolio Manager – Corporate Banking
to work
onsite , offering
$150,000–$170,000 annually , depending on experience. This role centers on managing a diverse corporate credit portfolio that includes syndicated facilities, mid-market lending structures, and project-finance transactions. The position is newly created within a growing Corporate Banking segment, offering direct exposure to a lean team and consistent interaction with senior leadership. The ideal professional will bring a strong credit foundation, exceptional organizational capability, and an ability to serve as a key liaison between clients and internal banking groups.
Requirements of the Portfolio Manager – Corporate Banking
Provide end-to-end oversight of a corporate loan portfolio, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely credit monitoring
Perform recurring portfolio evaluations, track trends, assess risk indicators, and prepare detailed reports for leadership
Support amendments, renewals, restructures, and related credit actions in partnership with internal teams
Coordinate loan closings, documentation reviews, and communication with legal counsel and agent banks
Participate in discussions with clients regarding post-execution activities and service-related needs
Partner with treasury teams to identify working-capital, liquidity, and payment-solution opportunities
Strong competency with financial modeling, portfolio analytics, and credit evaluation
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred
Several years of experience in corporate banking, portfolio administration, or credit underwriting
Familiarity with syndicated lending, mid-market deals, and project-finance structures
Software knowledge such as Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably nCino
Responsibilities of the Portfolio Manager – Corporate Banking
Track performance metrics, credit ratings, covenant compliance, and key indicators for an active loan portfolio
Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc presentations summarizing performance trends and strategic recommendations
Maintain organized credit files and ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory expectations
Analyze complex deal structures and support underwriting-related activities as neededServe as a point of contact for internal partners, external institutions, and client representatives
Attend internal meetings to provide insights on current holdings and support new-deal execution
Coordinate treasury product implementation and monitor usage across assigned clients
Assist in developing portfolio strategies aimed at optimizing returns and improving risk-adjusted outcomes
Support cross-sell or revenue-enhancement initiatives within the broader commercial banking team
