OneSearch Group has partnered with a newly formed Corporate Banking and Syndicated Loans team, currently searching for an AVP, Senior Credit Analyst to join their team based in Miami, FL. The role is responsible for proving credit expertise to the origination, distribution and management of syndicated loan facilities in the U.S.
Functions
Responsible for the credit analysis and credit execution of Leveraged Finance, Acquisition Finance, and Middle Market syndicated loan credit facilities.
Analyze and evaluate primary and secondary loan opportunities, preparing thorough credit assessments, ensuring that transactions align with the bank’s appetite and policies.
Prepare Credit Investment Memos for presentation to respective Credit Committees for new potential Corporate and Institutional credit relationships.
Prepare industry study reports on the industries in which the Bank extends credit. Reviews the Bank's portfolio position in each industry being analyzed and assesses the overall risk position being incurred.
Underwrite and analyze credit investments by evaluating and reviewing loan information, including but not limited to financial projections, risk mitigation, financial statements, financial models, lender presentations/decks, public filings, datarooms, diligence reports, and other related loan information and supporting documentation.
Maintains extensive communication with Lending Officers and Credit Managers to provide assistance on the preparation of new loans and renewals.
Assists the Credit Managers and Chief Credit Officer in training and supervising junior analysts with financial spreading, preparing peer group comparisons, calculating and utilizing financial ratios, cash flows, and evaluate all of the non-numerical aspects of evaluating credit risk.
Assist the Corporate Banking Department concerning lending policies and procedures, quality control matters, loan review, and underwriting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a business, finance major or related field. An advanced degree in business, finance, or economics is desirable.
A minimum of three – four years previous credit training and experience is required, preferably within syndicated loans and/or corporate banking.
