Responsibilities

Develops and completes pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department and adjusts operations to meet the strategic goals and interests of Resort Operations.

Conducts weekly walk‑throughs of each resort tower to visually assess the physical structure(s) of the building.

Maintains the level of safety, efficient maintenance, and operation of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment.

Assigns routine maintenance tasks for public spaces, meeting rooms, guest rooms, outlets, back‑of‑the‑house areas, and grounds.

Assigns and verifies completion of all repairs, replacements, and renovation projects with Maintenance Technicians for offices and employee work areas.

Ensures the property’s Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and current.

Ensures compliance with Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations Brand Standards related to the engineering department, such as preventive maintenance of each unit twice per year.

Maintains an accurate inventory of operating supplies and ensures proper purchasing procedures.

Ensures all department assets, equipment, supplies, and storage are accurately locked and secured.

Develops and maintains human resource management practices performed by subordinates, including recruitment, performance management, and corrective action in partnership with the HR Business Partner.

Partners with Senior Leadership to prepare Reserve spend projects and Capital Projects.

Develops and directs financial spending for operations as it relates to the established Annual HOA budget, Reserve budget, and Capital Budget.

Participates in the MOD program as assigned by Senior Leadership.

Other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership.

Qualifications (Minimum)

High school graduate or equivalent.

5+ years of engineering experience in hotels or a related industry.

5+ years in a leadership role within a similar environment.

Fully flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

EPA – OSHA 10/30 – CPO–CPR/AED certifications.

HVAC certification.

Ability to write and speak English to comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred

BA/BS/bachelor’s degree.
