The Director of Finance is a key member of the Finance Team, working with the CFO to oversee all accounting and financial operations. This role manages general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, grants, and bond compliance, while supervising the Payroll & Purchasing Specialist and the AP/AR Specialist. The Director ensures compliance with GAAP, GASB, and state/federal regulations, maintains strong internal controls, and supports financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
Key Responsibilities
Lead accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audits.
Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, grants, and bond management.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, state, and federal requirements.
Support budgeting, forecasting, asset tracking, and financial transparency reporting.
Supervise and develop finance staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
8+ years finance/accounting experience, including 5+ in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, payroll, AP/AR, grants, and bond management.
Proficiency with accounting/payroll systems (Abila MIP and Paylocity a plus).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation Salary range: $100,000–$125,000 annually, plus benefits.
