Company Overview A modern, tech-enabled tax advisory and compliance firm partners with privately held businesses, investors, and high-net-worth individuals to provide advanced tax strategies and compliance solutions. They are seeking a Tax Manager to join their fully remote team.
Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a small team of tax associates, overseeing workflow, prioritization, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency across client projects.
Review complex federal and state tax returns across multiple entity types to verify compliance, accuracy, and the optimization of client tax positions.
Advise clients on tax planning strategies and compliance matters through scheduled meetings and ongoing communications throughout the year.
Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, interpret new legislation, and summarize findings to support both client-facing and internal advisory work.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of tax regulations, IRS rulings, and relevant legislative updates to ensure all client work reflects current standards.
Document technical findings, contribute to process improvements, and assist in developing internal training resources to enhance team performance and technical competency.
Qualifications
Experience as a tax generalist, including forms 1040, 1065, and 1120S.
Experience managing a team of tax professionals.
CPA/EA/JD required.
Strong command of U.S. direct tax law and compliance practices.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into efficient, practical processes.
Compensation Salary: $120,000 – $150,000, Plus Bonus
