We are seeking a midlevel to senior associate to join our rapidly growing Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group in the San Francisco, Palo Alto, or New York office. The practice focuses on representing innovative companies and their founders throughout their lifecycle (business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions) as well as the funds that invest in them. Clients range from newly-formed startups to multi-billion dollar technology market leaders.
Responsibilities
Represent entrepreneurial clients through business formation, financing, mergers, and acquisitions.
Provide advice on venture financing, corporate governance, and regulatory strategy relating to AI, Web3, blockchain, crypto, metaverse, and other frontier technologies.
Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
Collaborate with experienced practitioners on sophisticated national-level matters.
Qualifications
Minimum of four years of experience, preferably at a comparable law firm.
Experience advising clients on venture financings, corporate governance, and technology-related regulatory strategy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Stellar academic credentials and reference materials.
Ability to effectively manage client and counsel relationships.
California bar admission required.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation range: $310,000 to $420,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid holidays, and family care benefits.
