Job Overview Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Business Unit Manager for its New York, New York location.

Responsibilities

Lead workforce planning activities for the Banking organization.

Extract data from HR and Finance systems and consolidate information from all sources.

Provide a comprehensive view of recent headcount changes at country, cluster, and global levels.

Provide insights on recent trends and suggest actions to help achieve headcount targets.

Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to improve the headcount monitoring process.

Implement a forecasting methodology to project future headcount for banking employees.

Analyze key drivers of change and corresponding historical volumes to identify average behavior.

Define assumptions to adapt average behavior based on recent trends and business environment knowledge.

Calculate quarterly and annual projected headcount for future periods.

Define headcount data standards and implement data quality controls.

Assess current data against standards and identify data quality issues.

Work with HR to cleanse employee data.

A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Qualifications

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Compliance Business Control Officer, Risk & Controls Reporting Lead, Organization Development & HR Strategy Analyst, Finance Expense Management Process Lead, or a related position involving data strategy development and implementation in a global financial services institution.

Experience including recommending target‑setting practices based on historical data, external benchmarking, and strategy alignment.

Experience with calculation methodologies for additive and non‑additive measures and knowledge of Tableau dashboards to obtain performance metrics.

Ability to assign results to senior leaders and navigate results through the organization structure using standard dimensions housed in central corporate systems.

Exploration of HR data and understanding of trends based on location, role, seniority, pyramid distribution, gender, ethnicity, and analysis of movements from hiring, transfers, and attrition.

Workforce planning: analyzing open positions, headcount information analysis, key drivers for headcount change, and the end‑to‑end process from incremental needs identification to onboarding.

Modeling of historical data, use of statistical tools to produce high‑end and low‑end estimates, and incorporating discretionary inputs such as investments and restructuring decisions for forecasting future manpower needs.

Data visualization for report generation highlighting key insights supportive of decision‑making using Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Microsoft Office.

Systems automation using Selenium and Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
