Key Responsibilities

Engage in client consultations and challenge the unclaimed property and escheat approach for optimal effectiveness.

Develop strong relationships with clients and effectively collaborate with internal resources while developing and coaching junior team members.

Implement extensive knowledge of unclaimed property concepts and requirements.

Foster a highly collaborative culture where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is essential.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Stay informed of current technical developments and apply knowledge effectively to client situations.

Analyze information thoroughly and accurately; prepare quality, practical approaches to the client’s unclaimed property situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.

Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex unclaimed property concepts.

Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related work experience.

CPA certification, membership in the U.S. Bar or professional designation from the IPT.

Technical expertise and experience related to compliance, audit defense and consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property services.

Performance and process advisory experience related to unclaimed property compliance.

Broad exposure to state and local taxation.

Excellent managerial, organizational, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.

Willingness to travel as needed and the ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.

Preferred Experience

Minimum of 7 years of relevant unclaimed property consulting experience within a professional services environment.

What We Offer

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary range for all geographic locations in the U.S. is $135,000 to $308,500; for the NYC Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) it is $162,100 to $350,500. Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Hybrid work model: 40–60% in‑person client engagement time.

Flexible vacation policy with time off for EY Paid Holidays, personal/family care, and other leaves as needed.
