Senior Director, Brand Marketing | New York City This is a new, strategic role, joining the newly formed Convene Hospitality Group at a key moment of brand growth. The role will focus on centrally driving the brand strategy, commercial marketing approach and key brand activations for a growing portfolio of brands, including Convene and etc. venues, as well as stunning one-of-a-kind event spaces and special projects. The Senior Director of Brand Marketing will report directly to our SVP of Brand Marketing.

Responsibilities/Duties

Create, lead and execute a brand marketing vision, strategies and commercial campaigns to drive innovative thinking, brand awareness and business objectives, including development of brand architecture, brand differentiation, and integrated brand marketing plans in conjunction with agencies and other cross-functional partners.

Support SVP, Brand Marketing in defining and delivering client experience touchpoints and extensive brand toolkits, including brand overviews and approaches to social media, tone of voice, art direction, music, etc.

Develop and build consensus for insight-driven cultural partnerships and brand activations, ensuring that we activate ideas to maximize impact all across owned, earned and paid channels, including PR, digital, content + events.

Oversee and set priorities for Regional Marketing Managers to execute guest experience touchpoints and seasonal plans, ensuring they are delivering on brand objectives, pushing creative thinking and delivering best practices across multiple locations. Manage creative agency; support direct report in managing digital marketing + website development agencies.

Support pre-opening plans for new spaces, including conducting RFPs for local agencies and onboarding/supporting regional marketing managers.

Develop partnerships that amplify brand positioning while driving awareness with new target markets.

Streamline and manage systems for team to report KPIs monthly, quarterly and annually for all stakeholders in conjunction with marketing managers.

Manage brand budgets, including detailed tracking and monthly finance meetings to ensure fiscal accountability.

Qualifications:

Extensive, progressive brand marketing experience, ideally in the hospitality industry.

Someone with a passion and knowledge of culture, design, meetings/events and the hospitality industry who has their finger on the pulse and connections to create compelling new brands.

An experienced brand marketer who will serve as brand guardian, creative campaigner thinker, and proactive brand builder.

An executive presence who can capably interact with senior leaders, speak to budgets, communicate with multiple stakeholders, galvanize small teams and execute a vision.

Versed in best practices and key technologies/software related to website, digital marketing, social media, and public relations.

Education/Formal Training:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

Experience:

10 years related experience; hospitality brand building experience preferred

Exceptional team leadership skills; ability to motivate and inspire teammates to achieve or exceed goals

Travel Requirements:

Moderate travel, as needed.

Salary Min: $140,000 Salary Max: $150,000

This role is also eligible for Convene's annual incentive performance bonus plan.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
