About the Role As the Engineering Manager, Web, you will lead a group of talented backend and web engineers to develop impactful features and scalable platforms for our Merchants. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to execute a strategic roadmap and ensure the delivery of exceptional user experiences across mobile and web platforms while shaping the team’s technical vision for the future.

Responsibilities

Build experiences core to the day‑to‑day operations of our merchants.

Improve page performance and the reliability of our releases.

Work with a variety of cross‑functional partners from product, design, analytics, engineering and S&O.

Provide architectural guidance and professional development for a team of 9+ engineers.

Encourage innovation, teamwork, and implementation of cutting‑edge technologies and outside‑of‑the‑box thinking.

Scale the team by recruiting, retaining and developing highly talented engineers across different disciplines.

Qualifications

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.

3+ years of experience in people management leading full‑stack product teams.

8+ years of industry experience.

Strong product sense and ability to be a thought partner with cross‑functional peers.

Experience selecting and adopting web technologies to improve testing and performance.

Customer‑centric mindset applied to building out platform services.

Growth mindset—eager to expand skill set and carve out career path in a hyper‑growth setting.

Adaptability, resiliency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity in a fast‑changing environment.

Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $193,800—$285,000 USD (localized by location). In addition to base salary, compensation includes opportunities for equity grants. You will receive a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with employer match, 16 weeks paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off, paid sick leave, medical, dental, vision, disability and basic life insurance, family‑forming assistance, mental health program, and 11 paid holidays.
