Description
As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring patient safety and comfort, and you will work closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery
Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure patient safety
Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and consultations
Provide post-anesthesia care and assess recovery
Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices and technology
Document anesthesia care and maintain accurate patient records
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
Current medical license to practice in the state of Wisconsin
Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
Experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on anesthetic practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to patient care and safety
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and patient needs
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p
12 and 24-hour weekend call shifts required
Case Volume: 10k total per year
8 ORs and 2 NORAs
All types of pediatric anesthesiology cases
1:2 or 1:1 supervision model
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
