The selected candidate
Hands‑on with design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions aligned with Azure Well‑Architected Framework pillars
Accountable for a suite of data models with relatively high complexity, leveraging strong understanding of data modelling standards to ensure high quality
Drive best practices for data security, data privacy, and data integrity
Ensure reliability and efficiency of data infrastructure in the Azure cloud
Understanding of AI‑driven data engineering tools; build cutting‑edge AI‑driven use cases and ensure availability of AI‑ready data
Work with other departments across the business to help define and deliver business value, and interface and communicate with program teams, management, and stakeholders to deliver large, complex projects
Your Key Responsibilities Include
Lead production of high‑quality data engineering deliverables, ensuring project timelines are met, and provide informal mentoring/training to junior team members
Lead design, development and implementation of processes to extract, transform and load data from disparate sources into a consumable form for analytics
Develop and define future state data architectures aligned with industry best practices and organizational needs
Proficient in designing Data Architecture strategy, developing data architecture for modern data platforms, assessing enterprise existing data architecture and devising recommendations
Lead translation of requirements, design and solution architecture deliverables into detailed design specifications
Define and implement data management strategies aligned with business objectives
Lead delivery of data quality reviews, including cleansing to ensure integrity and quality
Evaluate and resolve issues regarding data quality reviews, cleansing, data integration and migration, leveraging advanced technical knowledge and showing technical leadership while driving continuous improvement
Provide leadership for the work group, ensuring appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools, and responsibilities are in place to deliver the project
Analyze the latest industry trends such as cloud computing and distributed processing and infer potential impact on businesses (short and long‑term)
Provide advanced technical expertise to maximize efficiency, reliability and value from current data engineering processes; research and monitor existing client base and industry developments to identify potential new product opportunities from emerging technologies
Develop strong working relationships with peers across engineering, collaborating to develop leading data engineering solutions
Drive adherence to relevant data engineering and data modeling processes, procedures, standards, and input into definition, maintenance and implementation of technology standards

Required Technical Skills
Hands‑on experience in building Data Architecture using patterns such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Lakehouse, Data Observability & Data as a Service (DaaS)
Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics) to build scalable and efficient data solutions
Experience building data orchestration through Azure Data Factory, Function App, Logic App
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python and Java
Extensive experience on Databricks performance optimization (data ingestion, transformation and consumption areas)
Experience designing and building Data Platforms integrating disparate data sources
Experience designing and developing authentication and authorization methods to ensure data security
Expertise in working with MPP designs to accelerate performance of large data warehouses
Expertise in Azure, Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL, Spark
Expertise developing dataflows using NiFi/ADF, Databricks
Advanced hands‑on design and implementation experience of large analytic warehouse
Advanced hands‑on experience in Spark architecture and implementation using various methods

What We Offer You
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $145,500 to $280,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $174,500 to $318,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
