Selected candidate
Hands‑on design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions aligned with Azure Well‑Architected Framework.
Accountable for complex data models, ensuring high quality through strong data modelling standards.
Drive best practices for data security, privacy, and integrity.
Ensure reliability and efficiency of data infrastructure in Azure cloud.
Build AI‑driven use cases, ensuring availability of AI‑ready data.
Collaborate across departments to define and deliver business value, communicating with program teams, management, and stakeholders on large, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead production of high‑quality data engineering deliverables, mentoring junior team members.
Design, develop and implement processes to extract, transform and load data from disparate sources.
Develop future‑state data architectures aligned with industry best practices.
Design data architecture strategy for modern data platforms, assessing existing enterprise architecture.
Translate requirements into detailed design specifications.
Define and implement data management strategies aligned with business objectives.
Deliver data quality reviews, cleansing data to ensure integrity and quality.
Resolve issues regarding data quality, integration and migration, showing technical leadership.
Provide leadership role for the work group, ensuring appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities.
Analyze industry trends such as cloud computing and distributed processing, inferring potential impact on businesses.
Maximize efficiency, reliability and value from current data engineering processes; research emerging technologies for new product opportunities.
Collaborate with peers across engineering to develop leading data engineering solutions.
Drive adherence to data engineering and data modeling processes, procedures, standards, and maintain technology standards.
Skills and Attributes For Success
Design and implement data architecture solutions meeting organizational needs using Azure Well‑Architected Framework pillars.
Create and deliver Azure Infrastructure Architecture Diagrams that visually represent data solution architecture.
Design efficient extraction of high volumes structured and unstructured data with automated CDC capability.
Design ingestion strategy for batch and stream processing across all source data.
Design models, capabilities and solutions to process data within the enterprise (validation, quality, profiling).
Design and produce data models of relatively high complexity, leveraging sound data modeling standards.
Design data storage models, storage requirements and migrate data from one system to another.
Design data consumption mechanisms with APIs, virtualization and visualization tools.
Design data governance mechanisms including data catalogue, lineage, classification, MDM, exploration.
Design authentication and authorization methods to ensure data security.
Develop and manage data integration strategies, including ETL processes.
Required Technical Skills
Hands‑on experience building Data Architecture using patterns such as Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Lakehouse, Data observability & Data as a Service.
Proficient in Azure services (Data Lake, SQL Database, Synapse Analytics).
Experience building data orchestration through Azure Data Factory, Function App, Logic App.
Proficient in SQL, Python, Java.
Experience on Databricks performance optimization.
Experience designing and building Data Platforms integrating disparate data sources.
Experience designing authentication and authorization methods for data security.
Expertise in MPP design for performance of huge databases.
Expertise in Azure, Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL, Spark.
Expertise in dataflows using NiFi/ADF, Databricks.
Advanced hands‑on design and implementation of large analytic warehouse.
Advanced hands‑on design and implementation of Spark architecture.
Experience with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka.
Hands‑on experience with Python, PySpark or R.
Expertise in creating and analyzing complex SQL queries and procedures.
Understanding of big data and distributed architecture.
Creating ingestion workflows using Oozie or similar tools.
Knowledge of security measures like HTTPS and Kerberos.
Beneficial Technical Skills
Azure Data Lake Store, Databricks Delta Lakes.
NoSQL databases.
Advanced Analytics, ML and AI.
Graph databases (Neo4j, CosmosDB).
Microservices development.
Education
B.E. / M.S. Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
