GMD Weapon System (GWS)
as an
Embedded Software Engineer . You will play a key role on the
Non-Tactical Equipment (NTE) team , developing and maintaining mission-critical software for missile defense applications.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing and implementing software updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team.
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions with ingenuity and creativity.
Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs.
Collaborate with other software and systems engineers to determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Active Secret Clearance required
Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field from an accredited university and 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience (or Master’s and 6+ years of relevant experience)
Extensive experience with
Developing object-oriented software in C#
Embedded software development
Experience using NUnit
Experience with Moq Framework
Experience developing software in a Windows environment
Knowledge of SysUML
Familiarity with Atlassian and Agile software development practices
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Software Engineering or a related field
Missile Defense domain knowledge
Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
