Senior Software Engineer
Full-Time with an ESOP Contractor | Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Schedule: 9x80 (Every Other Friday Off) | Position is off-post, not Redstone Arsenal
Join the Ground Support Systems (GSS) group supporting the GMD Weapon System (GWS) as a Senior Software Engineer. Y"ou will play a key role on the Non-Tactical Equipment (NTE) team, developing and maintaining mission-critical software for missile defense applications.
Responsibilities You will be responsible for developing and implementing software updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team.
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions with ingenuity and creativity
Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs
Collaborates with other software and systems engineers to determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems with program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Active Secret Clearance is required
Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field from an accredited university and 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience (Or Master’s and 6+ years of relevant experience)
Extensive experience with:
Developing object-oriented software in C#
Embeddedsoftware development
Experience using NUnit
Experience with Moq Framework
Experiencedevelopingsoftwarein aWindowsenvironment
Knowledge of SysUML
Familiarity with Atlassian and Agile software development practices
Preferred Qualifications
Degree inSoftwareEngineeringor a related field
Missile Defensedomain knowledge
Active CompTIA Security+Certification
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearancen

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 (This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.)
