Job Overview
Very responsible professional, supervisory civil engineering work; and related work as required.
Minimum Requirements
Registration as a professional engineer and license to practice in Louisiana.*
AND EITHER:
Permanent Civil Service status as an Engineer
One (1) year of engineering experience as a professional engineer (experience gained following registration)
Other Eligibility
Employees may be required to have automobiles for some positions. An automobile allowance is usually granted.
* Prior to appointment, the hiring agency must verify professional engineer's registration/license claimed by applicant.
Additional Requirements
Out-of-state registrations acceptable if the applicant registers as a professional engineer in Louisiana within one year of hire.
No permanent status until registration proven.
