Job Description As an ACT Support Specialist II, you will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties, including supporting Community Support Workers (CSWs), reviewing and approving CSW notes, and coordinating care for clients. The role involves providing therapeutic services, preparing assessments, and ensuring effective communication between clients and the clinical team. You will also collaborate with leadership to develop clinical training and expand MBI’s services, all while complying with MBI Health Services' standards and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
Support CSWs by reviewing and approving encounter notes.
Assist the clinical team in coordinating care and future healthcare needs.
Act as an effective communication link between consumers and the clinical team.
Maintain confidentiality of client records.
Collect information about clients through interviews, tests, and daily functioning evaluations to identify areas needing support.
Provide therapeutic services to clients through individual, family, and group sessions, ensuring a minimum of 10 billable therapy hours per week.
Prepare diagnostic and biopsychosocial assessments, clinical notes, referrals, and revise treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with the MBI leadership team to develop, coordinate, and evaluate clinical training for staff.
Assist in developing, implementing, and expanding MBI’s services and programs to address community gaps.
Provide follow‑up, aftercare planning, and emergency services during and after working hours as assigned.
Attend staff meetings and other activities to ensure smooth clinical operations.
Perform all duties in compliance with District of Columbia’s Behavioral Health Standards, federal, state, and local laws.
Attend all company‑required trainings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work or a related behavioral health field.
LGSW or LGPC within 6 months of hire.
Training or experience in a health care, human services, or equivalent field.
1–2 years in a mental health environment.
Strong organizational skills.
Effective communication and time‑management skills.
Some experience reviewing and approving clinical notes.
