Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Nursing Manager, you will be a dynamic leader, guiding and empowering our nursing team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence. You will lead and mentor registered nurses, oversee clinical operations, and advocate for patient and team needs, driving professional development and achieving unit goals. You will embody accountability, confidence, and superior communication, skillfully navigating challenges to ensure both individual performance and overall unit success.
Schedule nursing staff to specific shifts, taking into account past utilization trends.
Measure employee performance and assist in the training of new staff and development of existing staff.
Coordinate the activities of the unit during a particular shift and direct, organize, and assign work to nursing staff.
Assess, monitor, and educate the nursing staff on patient care; institute emergency procedures as necessary.
Provide nursing care to patients on an as-needed basis.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent education and experience upon hire.
Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
One (1) year of leadership experience.
Registered Nurse in California (CA).
Basic Life Support – CPR.
Critical Care RN in Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute.

Dominican is a Certified Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, offers the only comprehensive Cancer Center in Santa Cruz County, and has received national recognition for patient safety and cardiac care.
Pay Range:
$78.27 – $99.92 per hour
