Third Time Together – Coffee Program Lead Posted on December 5, 2025 Boston – Brighton

The Position : We’re looking for an experienced barista or coffee professional with a passion for hospitality to lead our coffee program as we expand to One Kendall Square in East Cambridge. This leadership position combines hands‑on barista work with program development, helping to elevate our coffee service while maintaining our commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

About Third Time Together We are hospitality first. Everything at Third Time starts and ends with the guest experience and how we can make that the best possible experience out there. Throw away your ideas of what an ice cream shop or a quick‑serve restaurant are, think instead about what they can be and then let’s work together to make that a reality. We were recently awarded Best of Boston and we’re opening a second location at One Kendall Square in East Cambridge. This is your chance to join a young, award‑winning concept at a pivotal moment and help shape what comes next.

Support other front‑of‑house operations as needed in our cross‑functional environment.

Help establish coffee service systems and training protocols for our second location.

Requirements Must Have

2 years of professional barista experience.

Strong knowledge of dialing in espresso shots and milk steaming technique.

Genuine desire to serve others and create positive experiences.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality and warm hospitality.

Leadership experience or strong desire to train and mentor others.

Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with team members and guests.

Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.

Excellent multitasking ability and attention to detail.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Have

Coffee education or certifications (SCA, barista competitions, etc.).

Experience with specialty coffee, third wave cafes, or high‑volume coffee programs.

Latte art proficiency.

Interest in or knowledge of Middle Eastern coffee traditions and culture.

Experience developing training materials or standard operating procedures.

Familiarity with espresso machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly wage plus participation in tip pool (tips average $8–12 per hour).

Significant opportunities to shape and develop our coffee program.

Fast‑paced but supportive environment where your expertise and voice are valued.

Staff meals and regular treats in our creative, joyful space.

Real growth opportunity: Potential for advancement as we expand to our second location in Kendall Square.

Join at a moment when your contributions can have lasting impact on how we grow.
