Job Summary The Risk Manager is responsible for the identification, investigation, analysis, and evaluation of risks and the selection of the most advantageous method of correcting, reducing or eliminating identifiable risk.
Responsibilities Identify, investigate, analyze, and evaluate operational and clinical risks; recommend actions to mitigate or eliminate risks; develop and deliver risk management training; collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to promote a culture of safety and risk awareness; maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards; review incidents and near‑misses to derive lessons learned.
Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree (healthcare–related preferred) required
MSN, MHA, MBA, or MHSA preferred
Minimum of 5 years health‑care experience (clinical experience preferred)
Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical risk management preferred
Supervisory and/or management experience preferred
CPHRM strongly preferred
