Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Glendale Memorial Medical Center, part of CommonSpirit Health, you’ll guide patients through the labor and childbirth process, focusing on the safety of the mother and baby with kindness and compassion. You’ll triage walk‑ins, support patients during labor, assist with cesarean sections, provide prenatal education, monitor newborns, and communicate with the caregiving team. Be calm and composed during emergencies, and support families through all stages of delivery.
Responsibilities
Triage walk‑ins to determine labor status.
Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance, pain management, and fetal monitoring.
Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage, and emergency procedures.
Educate patients on medications, exams, and labor stages.
Assess newborns and provide initial care.
Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient, and family.
Requirements
6 months of acute care experience in labor and delivery (one year preferred).
Minimum education required for licensure.
Certifications: Basic Fetal Monitoring, NRP, ACLS, BLS.
Current California license as a Registered Nurse.
Position is represented by CNA.

Pay Range $53.66 – $72.87 per hour
