Job Description As a Tax Senior, Transfer Pricing at BDO USA, you will utilize research skills and tax software to prepare tax filings, conduct transfer pricing studies, and manage client engagements.

Responsibilities

Conduct transfer pricing studies covering planning, documentation, audit defense, and compliance stages.

Scope, design, and analyze intercompany transactions, benchmark pricing policies, and evaluate market scenarios.

Prepare supplemental financial analysis (e.g., intangible valuation, loan analysis).

Plan, schedule, and execute analyses under direction of the Senior Director or Manager.

Manage deadlines and data due dates for projects.

Utilize databases such as Compustat, Amadeus, ktMINE, Edgar, 10‑K Wizard, Bloomberg, Lexis‑Nexis.

Document compliance of client intercompany prices with foreign and domestic tax regulations and present findings.

Participate in scoping calls, draft proposals, and engagement letters.

Prepare presentations for existing and prospective clients.

Conduct client interviews to understand factors influencing intercompany transactions.

Apply audit, competent authority, and APA knowledge to prepare IDR responses.

Apply transfer pricing in the context of tax provisions and ASC 740‑10.

Collaborate with core tax and STS groups to deepen technical knowledge.

Act as mentor for associates and interns, reviewing work and providing performance feedback.

Monitor budgets and billings to manage project profitability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field (required).

Advanced degree (preferred).

Minimum of 2 years prior work experience (required).

Experience working within a transfer pricing practice (required).

Prior supervisory experience (preferred).

Experience reviewing tax provisions from a transfer pricing perspective (preferred).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial databases (Compustat, Moody’s RiskCalc, 10‑K Wizard, ktMINE).

Strong oral and written communication, analysis, research, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines in a deadline‑driven environment.

Capacity to build and maintain client relationships and interact with professionals at all levels.

Intermediate understanding of technical and practical issues in taxation.
