Physician Assistant, Plastic and Oral Surgery/Sedation (40 hrs)

Location: Boston, MA (and Waltham as applicable). 40 hours per week, 4–10 hour days Monday through Friday with potential travel to satellite locations.
Base Pay Range: $60.00/hr – $96.28/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).
Position Summary Physician Assistant will support Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, see outpatient consults, provide IV conscious sedation, and assist in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities
Administer IV conscious sedation, including IV placement and peri‑, intra‑, and post‑procedural assessment and monitoring in an office‑based setting.
Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and conditions.
Obtain histories, perform examinations, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and counsel patients about their diagnosis.
Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care, including first and second assisting during surgery.
Facilitate appropriate referrals consistent with the supervising physician’s scope of expertise.
Work 40 hours per week, 4–10 hour days Monday‑Friday in Boston and Waltham, with possibility of travel to other satellite locations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Education
Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.
Experience
Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Analytical skills to solve highly complex problems requiring application of clinical, scientific, or technical principles.
Strong communication skills for dealing with conflicting views or issues and providing fair solutions.
Strong interest and understanding of the Plastic and Oral Surgery disciplines (strongly preferred).
Licensure & Certifications
Current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification (training will be provided if not already certified).
