The Team The Healthcare Industry Group, a subsidiary of A&M, leads transformational change in the healthcare industry. We advise healthcare executives, boards, private‑equity firms, investors, law firms, and government agencies on financial and operational performance improvement, strategic growth, and unlocking value across the investment lifecycle. Our expertise spans interim management, restructuring, revenue cycle management, M&A, compliance and regulatory, digital technology and analytics. You will work with clients in health systems, physician groups, ancillary providers, medical schools, vision, laboratory, dental, behavioral health, managed care, government plans, healthcare investors and lenders, medical devices, suppliers, infrastructure, and life sciences.

HIG’s Healthcare Services practice (HCS) focuses on serving private‑equity portfolio companies and public & private healthcare companies. Services include performance improvement, cost optimization, M&A, finance operations, and interim management (including CFO services).

How You Will Contribute As a Director you will work closely with healthcare clients on complex assignments that require critical technology considerations. Your responsibilities include:

Identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce cost structure by redesigning technology and operations org structures, eliminating redundancies, and refocusing business on value‑added processes.

Optimizing overall technology stack to drive top‑line and bottom‑line improvement or dive into specific technology investments to inform board and C‑level decisions.

Developing IT synergy models, one‑time‑cost profiles, TSA and carve‑out considerations pre‑deal and executing integrations, exits and value creation post‑deal.

Providing guidance to manage clients through crises or quick solutions within tight timeframes.

Developing operational data analysis and KPI metrics to track and drive meaningful change.

Conducting client interviews to understand and evaluate client operations.

Summarizing analyses, drawing conclusions, and creating recommendations from large data sets.

Leading project work streams, managing day‑to‑day engagement priorities.

Preparing client‑ready deliverables and presentations; making presentations to clients.

Coaching and mentoring junior staff.

Building client relationships and seeking opportunities to expand business scope.

Assisting marketing initiatives by supporting pitch preparation and creating marketing materials.

Helping build product and service offering tools and templates.

Qualifications We seek someone with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset:

High energy and passion for healthcare and solving complex issues.

Minimum 12 years of experience in healthcare, consulting, or related fields, with a healthcare IT focus.

Experience in acquisition, integration, and transformation from an IT deal perspective.

Experience in leading Clinical Application domains (e.g., EMR/EHR, Practice Management).

Experience in Med‑tech manufacturing applications (e.g., MES, QMS, Inventory Management).

Experience in corporate functional domains (HRIS, ERP/Finance, Cloud Stack).

Advanced analytics and reporting skills.

Advanced Excel proficiency and financial modeling experience.

Advanced PowerPoint skills; experience with Visio, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, SPSS, benchmarking is a plus.

Solid project management and organizational skills.

Working knowledge of healthcare finance, operations, valuation and regulations.

Sound judgment and ability to elevate project issues to leaders.

Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to travel as required.

BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields (e.g., MHA, MPH).
