About The Role Reporting to the Director, Business Development, the Senior Analyst / Manager will join a team of high‑performing and collaborative professionals, working closely together on the development and execution of TerraForm Power’s project M&A and capital recycling strategies in North America, including strategic forecasting. The Business Development Manager will also support key initiatives related to capital deployment – primarily through greenfield project development – and including operating asset investment and divestiture opportunities.

The Business Development Senior Analyst / Manager will focus on supporting senior members of the team to underwrite and execute renewable power investment opportunities as lead on financial modeling and core to the underwriting process; own and lead corporate modeling for strategy and key CFO deliverables; serve as a key point of contact between TerraForm Power and the Brookfield Investment Team; develop and execute on strategic initiatives including capital recycling. Responsibilities

Lead corporate financial modeling for the company’s strategic initiatives.

Actively participate with senior management in the business forecasting process, including strategic decision‑making analysis and coordination with various stakeholders across the organization.

Liase with various internal functions and subject matter experts, including external contractors, in support of developing and vetting input assumptions for project and corporate models.

Participate in development investment decisions and other transaction execution, which includes due diligence of potential investments, identifying key investment merits and risks and range of outcomes or scenarios, meeting with the development and management teams, reviewing project documentation, and working in conjunction with third‑party consultants as required.

Conduct valuations of assets in the renewable power space using various methods such as precedent transactions and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) valuations.

Build detailed financial models used in the evaluation of potential transactions and to support transaction execution.

Create presentation materials and present to senior management team and investment committees in a concise and comprehensive manner.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to contribute to the due diligence process and liaise with external stakeholders in evaluation of investment opportunities.

Support significant strategic initiatives for the company, including corporate level M&A.

Review existing portfolio assets and assist with various value‑enhancing business plan initiatives.

Assist in developing ideas for potential transaction and deal structures, perform industry research and evaluate new market segments and potential opportunities.

Conduct special projects as required.

Requirements

University degree in a quantitative field such as finance, business, economics, or accounting with high academic standing.

2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in renewable power, infrastructure, private equity, investment banking, project finance, transaction services, or a valuations function.

Experience conducting research and due diligence, evaluating transaction opportunities, performing financial and valuation analysis, and producing investment materials for senior management.

Proven experience in detailed financial modeling in Excel including valuation and financing of investment opportunities.

Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools.

Professional with a positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team‑oriented culture.

Compensation: $120,000 – $170,000 USD, bonus eligible.
