Responsibilities
Assess resident interest and activity needs at time of move‑in and ongoing by completing the Resident Interest Worksheet and meeting with all new residents within 7 days to determine activity level and preferences.
Orient all residents to the activity program and how to access activities.
Coordinate and carry out resident activities daily within budgeted limitations, developing a monthly calendar of events that stimulate intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social needs.
Promote activities throughout the building to improve resident participation and follow the schedule with minimal changes.
Arrange entertainment within budgetary allotments, including inviting external performers and facilities.
On a quarterly basis, hold an event that also serves marketing purposes, collaborating with the Community Relations Director and other management staff for planning, advertising, set‑up, and clean‑up.
Provide and staff transportation for resident activities and other needs; schedule monthly outings and coordinate any activity outings and medical visit transportation.
Ensure staff and subordinate safety, managing unsafe actions and cooperating with the Safety Committee Standard. Assist the Executive Director during workplace injury investigations, return‑to‑work processes, and communications with care providers.
Foster teamwork, show initiative beyond job responsibilities, and positively impact co‑workers, residents, and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
