An excellent opportunity exists within the Material Estimating Organization as a Manager Estimating and Pricing. The estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the Estimating Organization supports gate reviews, government audits, and negotiations with the customer.
What You Will Do
Proactively manage/support all material estimating activities, across assigned programs, in excess of $500M in material proposed annually
Develop creative strategic approaches to product pricing with an emphasis on affordability (ensures approach is consistent with affordability targets and adequately described in proposals)
Proactively communicate priorities/requirements to Program, Contracts, and SCM Directors (as appropriate to ensure alignment and the overall proposal process is efficient and functional inputs are timely)
Continuously assess current and future proposal requirements to ensure resources are available
Deploy and rebalance team as needed to ensure all program proposal needs are adequately supported
Independently ensure compliance with FAR and internal estimating requirements (primarily FAR 15.408, Table 15-2)
Conduct performance reviews, provide guidance and other appropriate supporting duties to direct reports
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
Experience with Microsoft Office products (ex. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior managerial experience
Strong knowledge of TIES-Material
Strong organization and analytical skills
The ability to work well in teams, with peers and management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to consistently meeting deadlines in a schedule driven environment
Knowledge and experience with proposal development, price buildup, and estimating and pricing processes
Knowledge of and/or experience with federal proposal regulations including but not limited to: FAR, DFAR, TINA

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
