Base Pay Range
$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Job Summary The Senior Accountant handles complex accounting functions, including general ledger transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. This role supports budgeting, expense analysis, compliance reporting, and grant accounting while collaborating with the Finance Team, auditors, and County departments. Additionally, the Senior Accountant ensures adherence to policies, provides process improvements, and offers guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
Prepare journal entries, financial statements, variance analyses, and regulatory reports.
Oversee grant accounting, ensuring compliance, tracking expenditures, and preparing reimbursement requests.
Assist with audits by gathering and reviewing financial data.
Support budgeting processes, including grant appropriations and fiscal year planning.
Review and enhance accounting workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
Provide financial insights to program managers and respond to inquiries from funders and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, government accounting standards, and internal policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by Finance Leadership.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least three (3) years of accounting experience.
Experience with EBS Oracle Financial System or similar platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
CPA or HFMA certification.
Knowledge of GAAP, government accounting, and healthcare finance.
Experience in a hospital or healthcare system.
Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

Schedule Monday-Friday; Normal Business Hours
Onsite/Hybrid Schedule Will be required to be onsite 5 days a week the first 1-2 Months, after that can be hybrid (Onsite 3 Days a week & 2 Days working remote)
Pay $90,000-$110,000 (Dependent on background and years of experience)
