Position Details

Job Overview The Academic Senior Advisor reports to the Director of Advisement or designee. Work schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of students and support academic personal and professional growth and development.
Collaborate with faculty and campus departments to promote the planning of academic, transfer and career pathways.
Coach and support students to make appropriate academic, career, and transfer decisions and connect students to resources to remove barriers and promote persistence and success.
Use advising technologies such as CUNYFirst, Schedule Builder, Navigate, DegreeWorks, Transfer Explorer, and other emerging technology/software to support and monitor students’ academic progress to degree completion.
Plan and facilitate student engagement events and activities such as workshops, open houses, etc. to build community.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience required.
Experience with academic advising, student services, and use of advising technology.
Compensation And Benefits $61,831 - $74,490. CUNY benefits include health plans, retirement/pension, tuition waivers for CUNY graduate study, and paid time off.
