Sidwell Friends School is seeking track and field assistant coaches for both the winter and spring track seasons in the 2025-256 school year. The Assistant Coach position will be responsible for assisting the head coach in organizing the Track and Field program.

Responsibilities

Promote and create a positive team culture.

Develop fundamental skills of the game.

Enthusiastically participate in running practices to support the head coach.

Maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management.

Foster a culture that promotes Quaker values and the academic experience of the student.

Integrate school core values as the framework from which to coach.

Approach coaching with thoughtful, innovative thinking and a desire for constant improvement.

Qualified candidates will possess at least one (1) year of relevant track and field coaching experience at the high school, club and/or college level. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Coaching positions are campus-based and require in‑person coaching.

Positions Available

Varsity Associate Head Coach – Boys

Varsity Associate Head Coach – Girls

Varsity Assistant Coach – Jumps (High jump, Long Jump, and Triple Jump)

Compensation

Stipend $2,675.00-$12,840.00; stipend will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
