About the Role The Commercial Credit Sales Manager will join our client's Institutional Sales division, reporting to Head of Institutional Sales. This is a front‑end origination role responsible for sourcing, structuring, and closing private credit opportunities across the Northeast. The role will target privately held and family‑owned businesses with $10M - $100M in revenue seeking working capital, growth funding, or recapitalization solutions. Originate new commercial credit transactions by cultivating referral‑driven relationships - not consumer or direct‑response sales.
Responsibilities
Source deals from bankers, CPAs, attorneys, wealth advisors, and equipment‑finance professionals
Build and maintain referral pipelines across the Northeast
Collaborate with underwriting and credit teams on structuring and closing
Track pipeline activity and market insights
Originate and structure commercial credit transactions ($10M-$100M revenue clients)
Build and manage referral networks that generate quality deal flow
Partner with internal underwriting and credit teams to structure and close deals
Maintain accurate reporting on pipeline, client activity, and production metrics
Represent organization at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or CTP preferred
7-10+ years in commercial lending, private credit, or lower middle‑market banking
Proven ability to originate and close credit transactions from referrals and relationships
Strong network of bankers, CPAs, attorneys, and advisors in the Northeast
Familiar with term loans, bridge loans, mezzanine, and structured credit
Entrepreneurial, professional, and highly self‑motivated
Track record of credit production ($5M+ annualized)
Confident structuring bridge, term, and asset‑based credit
Self‑directed, polished communicator, credible with C‑suite
