About the Role
The HR Generalist is responsible for all HR function of the firm and does not directly manage any personnel. A successful candidate is expected to have experience with benefits administration, drafting protocols/manuals, and general employee support. This is a hybrid role and the incumbent will be expected to report to TELG’s office 2 days per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a HR Professional to advance their career with a potential for growth in an already established environment, supported by employment law professionals and a strong administrative team. Responsibilities
Proactively manage all HR functions for the firm, maintaining comprehensive awareness of necessary actions and effectively utilizing available resources, reporting to the Managing Principal, COO, CFAO and other firm leadership as appropriate. Recruit new employees at the direction of the Managing Principal through coordination with departmental leadership, administering web based hiring actions through Indeed, utilizing internal references, or collaborating with hiring agencies as appropriate. Manage onboarding/orientation and termination processes; define, document and follow relevant procedures ensuring consistency, compliance and fiscal responsibility. Respond to requests submitted internally by employees for HR support. Respond to requests for employee/former employee references. Administer payroll, enter change requests, approve/track leave requests, and perform other necessary HR support functions through ADP. Coordinate annual employee evaluations and administer the Lattice Evaluation web based tool. Conduct billable hours review, including reviewing timekeeper diaries weekly and prompting employees for delinquent entries. Manage the employee performance improvement process including administrative coordination and employee coaching. Coordinate steps of the promotion process with firm leadership. Act as an intermediary between the firm/employees and benefits brokers to ensure compliance and coverage; provide support and guidance to employees in real time and in advance of open enrollment periods; proactively and comprehensively evaluate, report and make recommendations regarding benefits renewal options to firm leadership. Ensure employment law regulatory compliance (Leave, PTO, FMLA etc.). Maintain policies and procedures manuals, including the firm Policy Manual and overseeing revisions of job-specific and department-specific manuals. Maintain and proactively utilize an annual HR calendar. Plan and implement in-office and out-of-office events; work to maintain high morale among employees, fostering a sense of teamwork and common cause. Other duties as assigned by the Managing Principal, COO, CFAO or other firm leadership. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area. 3+ years' of experience working in Human Resources. Required Skills
