The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding production staff.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, company policies, and safety regulations specific to the manufacturing plant.
- Administer HR programs such as benefits, payroll support, and leave management for all plant employees.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ongoing training programs, emphasizing safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Support plant leadership in developing and implementing HR strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA compliance.
- Proven ability in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management for an hourly workforce.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production and skilled trades roles.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and payroll administration.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
- Experience with unionized environments or labor relations
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program support
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
